The short answer: First-time massage guests at Yes SPA in Las Vegas can walk in any hour with no appointment. Plan about 75 minutes total for a 60-minute session, including check-in and changing time. The flat price is $60 for 30 minutes or $80 for 60 minutes. The session takes place in a private room with a closing door. You undress to your comfort level — most guests keep underwear on. The therapist knocks before entering and you stay covered with clean sheets throughout. Chat with us on the bottom right with any specific worry before your first walk-in.

First-time spa visits are the most common reason people put off massage for years. The honest truth is that first-time guests are roughly a third of our walk-ins on any given day, and the experience is much simpler than most people imagine. This is a practical step-by-step walkthrough so you know exactly what to expect from minute zero to walk-out.

Before you walk in

You do not need to do anything to prepare. Walk in at any time of day or night. Wear whatever clothes you happen to be in — there is no dress code in the lobby. The 24-hour schedule means timing is fully flexible. Bring cash if you plan to tip, but card tipping at the front desk is also available.

The single most useful thing first-timers can do mentally is decide on duration. Most first-timers pick 60 minutes ($80) for the full experience, though 30 minutes ($60) is a perfectly good entry point if you want to try the format with less commitment. Both options use the same therapists and same standards.

The walk-in flow, step by step

Step one — front desk. You walk in, the front desk greets you, asks duration (30 or 60 minutes) and which of our four services. If you do not know which service to pick, just say "first time, what do you recommend" and they will point you to Full Body Relax, our most-common first-timer pick. You pay up front — flat rate, no surprises, cash or card. Total time at front desk is about 90 seconds.

Step two — your therapist meets you. They walk you back to a private room with a closing door. Inside is a massage table with fresh sheets, soft warm lighting, and calm music. Your therapist explains the session briefly and steps out, telling you to undress to your comfort level and lie face-down under the top sheet. They knock before re-entering.

Step three — undressing. This is the part most first-timers feel uncertain about. Practical truth: most guests keep underwear on. Some prefer fully covered (it works fine — your therapist can adjust technique). Some go completely without, which gives the smoothest oil work. All three are normal. You decide. The sheet covers everything not currently being worked, and only the area being massaged is briefly uncovered before being re-covered.

The session itself

For a 60-minute Full Body Relax, your therapist starts at the back. Long flowing strokes warm the tissue and gradually find tense areas. Pressure starts moderate; if anything feels too light or too firm, just say so. Your therapist would much rather adjust mid-session than have you walk out wishing you had spoken up. After about 25 to 30 minutes face-down, your therapist tells you it is time to turn over.

The turnover is gentle. Your therapist holds the top sheet up like a curtain so you can flip without exposure. Then 25 to 30 more minutes work the front of the legs, arms, neck, and head. Most first-timers report that the first ten minutes feel slightly novel and the last forty-five minutes pass in a relaxed haze. By the end, the body has noticeably softened, and the mind has noticeably quieted.

Common first-timer questions, answered

Will the therapist judge my body? No. Therapists at Yes SPA see every body type, every age, every walk of life all day long, year after year. They have zero opinion about how anyone looks. The only thing they care about is whether the pressure is right and whether you are comfortable. Most first-timers are surprised how completely non-judgmental the experience is.

Will it tickle? Sometimes briefly, especially on feet or sensitive spots. Tell your therapist if a particular area is ticklish and they will use firmer pressure that the body interprets as work rather than tickle, or skip the area entirely if you prefer.

What if I have a nervous reaction? Some first-timers experience a small adrenaline release in the first 5 minutes — completely normal as the body adjusts to being touched in this specific way. It passes quickly. Slow breathing helps. By minute 10 most first-timers are fully relaxed.

What if I fall asleep? Many first-timers do, especially in the second half. This is fine. Your therapist will gently wake you for the turnover, and again at the end. Falling asleep is actually a good sign — it means your nervous system fully trusted the situation enough to fully release.

After the session

Your therapist quietly tells you the session is done, leaves the room, and you take your time getting up. Most guests sit on the table for a minute or two letting the body re-orient. There is no rush. Dress at your own pace. Walk back to the lobby. Sip water if you would like. Cash tip if you choose — tips are appreciated but never required. Tips are appreciated but never required, and not tipping is completely fine.

Total visit time including check-in is about 75 minutes for a 60-minute session. Plan a calm rest of the day if possible. Many first-timers describe the next 12 to 24 hours as some of the most relaxed they have felt in months. Drink water. Take a warm bath if available. Avoid heavy gym activity the same day. Sleep is usually deeper than normal that night.

If you want to come back

Walk in any time. There is no membership, no card to keep track of, no app to download. Same flat pricing every visit. Most regulars find their preferred therapist within the first two or three visits and start asking for them by name — the front desk will note it. Beyond that, there is no commitment of any kind. Come weekly, monthly, quarterly, or once-a-year. Whatever your body actually needs.

The three things first-timers wish they had known

Hearing from regulars at Yes SPA who started as first-time guests, three points come up over and over. First, communication during the session matters more than expected — your therapist genuinely cannot read your mind, and saying "a bit firmer" or "that area is sore" gets you a measurably better session. Second, hydration before and after the session affects how your body feels for the rest of the day; most guests benefit from a glass of water both before walking in and right after the session ends. Third, the first session is rarely the best representative of what regular massage care can do — by sessions three or four, your body has adjusted and you start noticing the cumulative benefits.

None of these are deal-breakers for a first visit, but knowing them in advance means you arrive ready to get the most out of the experience. The 24-hour walk-in model at our 953 E Sahara Ave location means you do not have to commit to a specific time, just show up when it works for you. Chat with us on the bottom right if you want to ask any specific question before walking in — including whether to pick a 30-minute or 60-minute session, whether to choose a particular service, and what to wear when you arrive.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much should I undress for a first massage?
Whatever feels comfortable. Most guests keep underwear on. Some prefer to stay fully clothed (the therapist adjusts technique accordingly). Some go without underwear for the smoothest oil work — fully your choice. The sheet keeps everything covered the entire session, with only the working area briefly uncovered before being re-covered. Therapists at Yes SPA see every approach all day long and have zero preference for any.
Is it weird to fall asleep during a massage?
Not at all — many guests fall asleep, especially during the second half of the session. It is actually a positive sign that your nervous system fully trusted the situation. Your therapist will gently wake you for the turnover and again at the end. Sleeping during massage is a compliment to your therapist and to your own ability to relax.
Should I tip my therapist?
Tipping is appreciated but never required. Tips are appreciated but never required. Cash tips go directly to your therapist immediately, and card tipping at the front desk is also available. Not tipping is completely fine and your therapist will treat you the same on return visits regardless. Tips are bonus, not built-in to pricing.
What if my therapist hits a sore spot too hard?
Tell them immediately and they will adjust within seconds. The honest feedback principle is core to good massage. Therapists would much rather hear 'a little softer please' mid-session than have you walk out wishing you had spoken up. Adjust requests are completely routine and not awkward at all. The session is yours — make it work for your body.
How soon can I come back if I liked it?
Whenever you want. Some regulars come weekly during stressful periods, monthly for maintenance, or quarterly for an occasional reset. There is no membership at Yes SPA, no minimum visit frequency, and no expiration on returning. Same flat $60 / $80 pricing every visit, all hours.
